Women’s Collective Ireland are recruiting for the following position:
WCI Liffey Valley Development Worker (part-time – 16 hours per week)
based at Unit 12 Block 1, Weaver Court, Neilstown Road, Dublin 22
This position offers an opportunity to work in a feminist community development project that supports women’s equality and women’s well-being.
Employed by the WCI Board of Management, the Development Worker is responsible for the engagement in community development work within WCI Liffey Valley and to facilitate and support development, well-being, training, and networking of women in the local area.
The successful candidate will have:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience community development working within the community sector.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent facilitation skills.
An understanding of grassroots feminism.
The ability to outreach and engage with women in the local area.
The ability to identify the relevant training, supports and needs of women in the area.
The ability to assist with the planning and to facilitate the delivery of relevant programmes within WCI Liffey Valley.
The ability to network with other community organisations to support women’s participation.
The ability to work as part of a team.

The salary for the post is based on the starting point of WCI Development Worker Salary Scale – €31,217 (pro rata)
