Women’s Collective Ireland has officially published their submission to the Department of Children, Equality, Integration, and Youth for inclusion in the upcoming National Strategy on Women & Girls!
WCI has successfully published its submission to the Department, which highlights the lived experiences of grassroots women, providing a vital and often overlooked perspective in the development of the National Strategy for Women and Girls. This submission draws on firsthand accounts from women across diverse rural and urban communities, illustrating their challenges, triumphs, and the barriers they face in accessing equal opportunities in Ireland. By elevating these voices, WCI has ensured that the experiences of women at the grassroots level will be directly reflected in the upcoming national strategy, offering an opportunity for more inclusive and equitable policies.
It is WCI’s hope that the publication will mark a significant step toward amplifying the voices of women who have long faced marginalistion in policy discussions, and ensure that their needs and aspirations are front and center in shaping the future of women’s rights and empowerment.
