To highlight the reality of women’s lives in Donegal and promote social justice, equality and women’s human rights.


Working Objectives

Women’s Collective Ireland – Donegal (formerly NCCWN-Donegal Women’s Network) works to inspire and promote community growth through

  • Providing a friendly local support network to women in Donegal
  • Providing support to women’s groups in promoting their services/activities and establishing new women’s groups in local communities where need is identified
  • Providing networking opportunities to women at a local, regional and national level
  • Advocating & promoting women’s equality and human rights
  • Highlighting the reality of women’s lives and bringing a ‘gender lens’ to mainstream community and local development initiatives
  • Advocating for equal representation in Irish politics through the 5050 North West Group
  • Promoting and supporting women’s community leadership and empowerment
  • Bringing local issues to a national level to influence policy making
