Women’s Collective Ireland – Limerick are asking Limerick women to consider running for local election in 2024.
On Tuesday December 6th at 6pm in The Hunt Museum Café Women’s Collective Ireland – Limerick will host an information and networking event for women across Limerick city and county who might consider either running for local election or supporting another woman to run. We plan on running a series of monthly workshops and trainings in 2023 with the aim of building a coalition of diverse and progressive women who want to get more involved in politics in Limerick.
The event will feature local Historian, Sharon Slater, who will discuss past Limerick women that made their mark in politics and former Limerick TD, Jan O’Sullivan, who will discuss what it is like to be a woman in politics.
WCI Limerick is a feminist organisation, our mission is to support women through collective and practical actions to achieve their full human rights and true equality.
