WCI Limerick
WCI Limerick aims to promote gender equality through our work, we create safe and welcoming spaces for women to gather. We provide an information and support service for women, and supply information on a range of issues such as health provision, screening services, and men’s violence against women services. Additionally, we provide support for women to return to education and/or employment. We run various courses and events, including health and awareness days. We take part in celebration days such as International Women’s Day, and regularly get involved in local and national campaigns.
We take part in public consultations relating to women’s issues and broader issues using a gendered lens. We were instrumental in the establishment of the Limerick Women’s Caucus, the first of its kind at a local level in the country.
Experiences of Being Single: Women's Perspectives
EDGE Research based in TUS are partnering with Women’s Collective Ireland - Limerick to conduct research on women’s perspectives of being single and are asking women to fill out a questionnaire and share their experiences of being single in Ireland in 2026.
They are conducting this research to understand the experiences of single women, including the benefits and challenges of being single. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous and may be used in publications and reports. Participation is voluntary, and you may choose not to participate.

Untold Stories
In 2022 at the Limerick City Gallery of Art, WCI Limerick launched UNTOLD STORIES: a collection of poems and short stories written by local women.
They had been working with various groups of women over the years who had been taking part in Creative Writing classes and sharing their stories. These women put pen to paper so WCI Limerick could create and publish a short booklet full of their experiences, voices and creativity. A huge thanks to everyone who supported this project, those who attended the launch and an extra special thanks to each and every woman who contributed to this wonderful piece of work.
